The Journal of Women and Girls (JWG) invites scholars, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to submit original and high-quality manuscripts for consideration in its upcoming issue.
IJWGS is a peer-reviewed, open access international journal dedicated to advancing research and knowledge on issues affecting women and girls globally.
Scope of the Journal
The journal welcomes submissions in (but not limited to) the following areas:
- Women and girls’ health and well-being
- Gender equality and social justice
- Education and empowerment
- Economic participation and entrepreneurship
- Leadership and governance
- Violence against women and girls
- Public policy and development studies
- Feminist and gender studies
- Social inclusion and human rights
- Sustainable development and gender issues

The journal accepts:
- Original Research Articles

- Policy Papers
- Short Communications
Submission Guidelines
Authors must ensure that:
- Manuscripts are original and not under consideration elsewhere
- Submissions follow the journal author guidelines
- APA (7th edition) referencing style is used
- Ethical standards are strictly observed

Journal of Women and Girls (JWG)
- Aims and Scope
The Journal of Women and Girls Studies (JOWGS) publishes high-quality research on issues affecting women and girls globally. The journal welcomes interdisciplinary work in areas such as gender studies, education, health, development, policy, economics, leadership, and social change.
- Types of Manuscripts
The journal accepts the following types of submissions:
- Original Research Articles
- Case Studies
- Policy Papers
- Short Communications
- General Submission Requirements
Authors must ensure that:
- Manuscripts are original and not under review elsewhere.
- Submissions are written in clear and academic English.
- All sources are properly cited.
- Ethical approval is obtained where required.
- Conflicts of interest are disclosed.
- Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should generally include:
- Title Page (title, author names, affiliations, corresponding author email)
- Abstract (150–250 words)
- Keywords (4–6 keywords)
- Introduction
- Literature Review (if applicable)
- Methodology
- Results/Findings
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
- Formatting Guidelines
- Manuscripts should be typed in Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Line spacing: 1.5 or double spacing
- Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
- Pages should be numbered consecutively
- Word limit: 5,000–8,000 words (excluding references)
- Referencing Style
The journal accepts APA Style (7th edition).
Examples:
- In-text citation: (Smith, 2023)
- Reference list format:
Smith, J. (2023). Title of article. Journal Name, 10(2), 100–120.
- Figures and Tables
- Figures and tables must be numbered sequentially.
- Each figure/table must have a clear title and source (if applicable).
- High-resolution images should be submitted separately if required.
- Ethical Requirements
Authors must ensure:
- Research involving humans has ethical approval.
- Informed consent is obtained where necessary.
- No plagiarism, fabrication, or data manipulation.
- Proper acknowledgment of all contributors.
- Peer Review Process
All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Authors will receive reviewer feedback and may be required to revise their manuscript before acceptance.
